The Roadtrip Saga - Part One

It all began as a dream last summer...to Roadtrip to California to visit Rich's sister and her family....with a little planning (or lack there of) we hit the road last Friday...with a destination in mind, but no plans along the way.

We hit I-5 South after work on Friday...and began the trip to Clovis, CA....Chukar was a good trooper most of Friday, but got to get out of his kennel and hang with mom for the last part of the journey!
Friday night we stopped at Dan's place and hung out with Eric, Becca, Brody and Dan...while Chukar hung out with Issy and Junior....pretty sure he would have moved in there if we would had let him.
Saturday morning...the adventure continued...as we finally left Washington and made it to Oregon....we drove, we drove, we drove....
and then finally stopped for some lunch in Roseburg at a great little place....YUMMY! Chukar was able to go down to the Umpqua River to play and then we were back on the road!
Saturday night ended at the CLASSY Travelodge in Red Bluff, CA (woo hoo, we made it through Oregon in one day) after a great dinner at the little Italian Restaurant that I found on Yelp! Basically, I was 2 for 2 with my food selections on Saturday....

Sunday started early and was the day that we were anxiously awaiting...the day we would arrive in Clovis!!!

Here is part of the awesome view on our way down...MT. SHASTA!

We stopped for a quick lunch break for Chukar...before continuing the journey!

Mt. Shasta with Rich and Chukar...love this picture.

Almost to Clovis, we stopped in Lodi for a late lunch...at IN-N-OUT....all I can say is AMAZING!We got to the Hardy House...and went directly to the Dog Park for a little "run/fun" time for Chukar....he even met a friend!

Finally in Clovis...you will now get to meet the Hardy Family...here goes!

Tyson aka T-Bone
Gabrielle aka Yo! Gaba Gaba!
Becky aka Mama Bear, Rich's Sister, B-Dizzle
Jason aka Papa Bear, Rich's Bro-in-Law, Work-aholic!
Samantha aka Bean, Shortly
and of course, Richie!
The real fun begins on part two...stay tuned!
