The LONG weekend...

...a famous saying, "All's well that ends well"...is so true! We had such an AMAZING long weekend and are blessed to have such amazing family and friends that let us spend our time with them! I've been so bad with taking my camera places lately...and this weekend was not an exception...however, I was able to get a few pictures one day...the rest, well, you will just have to listen to me ramble on and on and on...

Friday morning, we packed up the car and headed out EARLY..grabbed some coffee for Rich, tea for Me and a blanket and bone for Chukar...and started our journey EASTWARD! We pulled into the Tri-Cities afternoon and headed directly to Casa Mia (our favorite little Italian joint) for a quick lunch...then Rich was off to a meeting with a "business contact" and Chukar and I were off to explore the outdoors. We finished up there and started out REAL weekend of fun! We said a quick hello to Andy, Steph and the gang and went directly to see Rich's Mom at work...she wasn't quick there yet, so I did a little shopping and we ran into Rich's friend Yoni and son Jaden who were out and about. Yoni ships out for Iraq in 3 weeks, so it was a blessing to get to see him before he leaves...and really celebrate the TRUE reason for our long weekend.

HAPPY MEMORIAL DAY!

Back to Friday...we were able to chat with Rich's Mom for a little bit, but she needed to get back to work and we were heading back to meet up with some friends...hoping to spend more QT with Rich's family on Saturday. Friday night involved friends, food and good times...the boys had a blast and I think that us ladies did too...however, Chukar and I were out hours before the boys!

Saturday morning started out a little slower than Friday....we took our time getting up and I even got to enjoy a little sunshine and read my book with Chukar outside while Rich got a little more sleep. We got to head over to Taco John's for a late lunch with Rich's Mom and then visit at the house with his Dad and the weiners...Chukar absolutely LOVED Four-Low!

Saturday night...we headed back to Andy's for more food, more friends, more fire and more fun times...Dick and Denise came over for a while too so we got to hang out with them and enjoy the night and the campfire!

Sunday morning was all about Rich, Chukar and Me....we got up and went to brunch with Rich's Mom and visited with his Dad...then headed off to enjoy a little quiet time and fishing with Chuk...

First out of the car...and first with the road on the pond!

Chuk checking out the flies...
Drinking some water from the fountain...
Playing in the water...

First fish of the day...

After the pond...we went on a little hike in Naches...
And saw some Elk...
Sunday ended with a trip to find Shawnee in Naches, a stop at Cruisers for some pizza and a stop off at Alex's to visit with him and Jenn...we made it home at 1 am...wow!

Today, we lounged, lounged and lounged!

Doggy Lovin'

A few weeks ago, our friends Jenn and Tim brought their Boxer, Bella, over for a "Doggie" BBQ...we grilled, they played. Most pictures you couldn't recognize the two dogs because they were all OVER eachother...but this was a cute one of them LOVIN' on one another!

Must do it again soon...

Flash Forward...

I feel that our lives have been on Fast Forward the past weeks, months, year...and we have actually Flashed Forward to today...wow, please stop and let us have one minute to breath!
Today was a great day for our little Family...we were able to be together, have deep conversations, and just spend some quality time together...just Rich, Chukar and myself. So thankful of my little world, but sometimes get so wrapped up in the big picture that I forget that our little family is pretty spectacular.
In true Meyer fashion...this weekend was full of fun, friends, work, family, and fun....Friday night Rich came out and met up with me at work for Champagne Friday...he got to meet my boss Robson and even have a little face time with him, plus he was able to briefly meet Jim and Matt, the other two owners, plus a gaggle of co-workers...it was great for him to get to meet them and vice versa. This was followed by a quick happy hour and dinner at our favorite (ok, my favorite spot in Woodinville, Ooba's)...the rest of the night was just us and relaxing after a VERY LONG and VERY Stressful week!
Saturday morning started off with Hubby and Wife pedicures with hot stone massages...AMAZING....and then I was off to Kelby's FABULOUS Bachelorette party and Rich was off to catch his LARGEST Large mouth ever. (Pictures from both to come soon)! Kelby's party was so much fun and it was so exciting to be there to see her in all her glory...less than 2 weeks Mrs. Blosser, 2 freakin' weeks!
Sunday rolled around and we were able to pack it full of tons of family time, including my parents for breakfast and dinner, a trip to Marymoor, some work time and now...time with eachother. Better run so I don't miss out on cuddle time on the couch!
Here's to a great 4 day week...and YES, my awesome work gave us Friday off (in addition to Monday for Memorial Day)...hopefully Rich will be able to take Friday off too!
Holler!!!!
May came...and May went...WOW!

10 Months and Counting...

It was 10 months ago today that Rich and I stood before our friends, family,
and God and made the following vows to one another:

I RICHARD, take you STACIE to be my wife, my partner in life and my one true love. I will cherish our union and love you more each day than I did the day before. I will trust you and respect you, laugh with you and cry with you, loving you faithfully through good times and bad, regardless of the obstacles we may face together. I give you my hand, my heart, and my love, from this day forward for as long as we both shall live.

I STACIE, take you RICHARD to be my husband, my partner in life and my one true love. I will cherish our union and love you more each day than I did the day before. I will trust you and respect you, laugh with you and cry with you, loving you faithfully through good times and bad, regardless of the obstacles we may face together. I give you my hand, my heart, and my love, from this day forward for as long as we both shall live.

It was the MOST important words I have even spoken and plan to remember every day the promises we made to one another. I love you today more than yesterday and am so thankful to have you by my side through life. You are my partner and one true love (just like the vows say).

Our plans have always been to take one day at a time, but sometime in the hustle of life forget that...forget the importance of love and compassion.

Today, I recommit myself to TODAY, this moment!

Our hearts are heavy today...

with the loss of Max.

We were lucky enough to have him with us for the past 11 years, but it is never time to see a puppy go! My heart goes out to my Mom and Dad today!

Keep the ball rolling...

while this saying is very true in our life...it is so not true in our dog Chukar's world! Poor little guy is going to get "taken care of" tomorrow, in the sense of Man parts gone....this got me thinking about all the funny "ball" sayings that are out there...
  • a ball-breaker
  • going under the wrecking ball
  • the ball is in his court
  • that's the way the ball bounces
  • break balls
  • having a ball
  • ball of fire
I hope Chukar forgives me for the chuckle I am having...but we are truly worried about the procedure and being without him for a day. He is a strong boy...and a trooper, so I know he will be GREAT!
Thinking of you BUDDY! We will never think that you are "less" of a man...we are just trying to prolong your life and keep you cancer free!

Bye, Bye, Bye...Balls!

Weekend, Weekend, came and went...

All work and no play, makes the Meyer and Boness clan get A LOT done! I know, I know....I haven't been good about updating the blog lately, but with the new job, MMAC in full swing, a dog, a house, a yard...and trying to stay in touch with family and friends....it's just OVERWHELMING!

We took this weekend to get MMAC's headquarters all situated...well, started, at least! It started with the emptying of the office "stash-crap" room....and now, it's our own BEAUTIFUL working office. Can't believe how much we tackled...painting, cleaning, assembling and more!

I even MOWED the lawn while Max and Chukar hung out in the yard!
Yep, they had a rough day too!
Dad and Rich reading about the desk...look at our new walls, so pretty!
And it ended with more lounging from the dogs!
Honestly, we could have never done any of it without the help of my parents...thanks for being such troopers and helping us all weekend! Mom and I even got to sneak out for a little Mother's Day pedicure...so nice!

I'm spent...still need to catch you up on the Kalal/Griffith nuptials, Cinco de Mayo and more...but there is still sunlight and more things that need to get done before we can put this weekend in the books!

Happy Mother's Day!
