Wedding Update!

Wow! Rich and I have officially entered the "continuation stage" of planning the wedding. This week, we turned it into high gear and started planning away!

My mom went with Kelby today to get fitted for her bridesmaid dress! Now, they are all ordered and should arrive in May. Just in time for any last minute alterations!!!

Also, we have started planning for the table set-up. We have started designing a "napkin holder" that involves an orchid, net and satin ribbon and is AWESOME! We are also starting to narrow down the flower selections and figure out what we need.

Another item - the Rehearsal dinner - Rich and I have been busy planning where we are having it, getting quotes and trying to decide if we are going to have it somewhere or have it catered at our house. We are completing a new patio this spring, so it would be fun to have everyone over to our house...but we are just not sure if we are up to the task the night before the main festivities!

Also, Joni and Mike have figured out more about their Bridal Party and Family Lunch that they are going to host on Sunday after the wedding...and give Rich and I the opportunity to enjoy our family for one more day! It will be fun to share the opening of gifts with our families!

What else...yes, there is a ton of things. We signed up at Crate & Barrel to start our registering on February 7th. They have a great thing in February, where they allow a few couples to come in 2 hours before the store opens and they demo how all the items work and help you with your registry! How awesome is that!!!

More, yes, more! Rich and I spoke with Terry, the minister who is going to marry us, and we start pre-marital counseling on the 24th of February. I am very excited to have the minister that I grew up with meet Rich and marry us! It's a great way to start our married life together.

All in all...it seems like each week, more things come together. Oh, I almost forgot, we got the weekend set aside for my Bachelorette party and a room booked in Chelan! So fun!

This year is so exciting and we can't wait for July to come!

Totally TUBE-ular!

Today, we hit the Summit at Snoqualmie for our 2nd Annual TUBING and RAGING adventure! This year we increased our numbers to 12 people...from the 3 in the 1st year...Rich and I feel that is a SUCCESS!

The troops starting to congregate at the Issaquah P&R!
Rich, Jenn, Alex, Ryan and Kelby...

Rich and I...
he didn't want his picture taken, so I copied him!
He didn't even know until the picture was done!
Yes, we do have matching 1981 bibs on...
thanks to Joni and Mike!

We made it to the mountain and met up with the rest of the group...
here's Heather, Me, and Kelby!
Me and Rich ready to tube...

Kelby and Ryan...

The camera went away...but there was tons of fun to be had! After 2 hours of tubing, trying to get kicked out on our last run (and not)...we decided that it was time to head back home and get some food! We ended our day at the Raging River Cafe and Club and stuffed ourselves FULL!

It was a great day! Can't wait for the 3rd annual trip!

K-A-L!

Yesterday, Rich and I went over to Suz and Clay's house to watch the UW vs. UCLA game and meet their beautiful son....Kain Alexander Linich!

He's the man of the hour!

It was so much fun to finally meet the little man and hang out with Suz and Clay...plus, a Husky win never hurts anyone!

Kain was such a great boy...he sat with me for most of the game and even fell asleep in my arms towards the end of the game. I have to say, he's the best little boy I've ever been around...or maybe it's just the "nurturing mom-side" coming out of me.

B-Roy is my Boy!

Tonight was the "final" time that B-Roy will set foot on the Bank of America Arena Floor...and Heather and I were there to see it!

Dressed in my #3 Brandon Roy Jersey, with Heather by my side, we were there to see all the glory that was...THE JERSEY RETIREMENT CELEBRATION!

Of course, we hit up Sunrisa for dinner and drinks first....and when I say dinner...I mean DINNER! Heather and I are some good eaters!!!

Heather with her "taco plate"

Me with my "mondo burrito"

We made it to the game...yes, that is the last row up there!

Here comes the man of the hour...with his little man!
For anyone who knows me...B-Roy has held a special place in my heart since the first time I saw him play. I was there for the knee problems, the #1 seed in the NCAA tourney and his final game. B-Roy you will be missed!

Congrats B-Roy!

Back on it...

Few...with 6 months to go, I'm back on the wedding planning and enjoying it. Today, my mom and sister went with me to finalize my invitations and some other things at PaperZone!!!
We had a ton of fun and got A LOT of good pointers in helping us create our fabulous Wedding Invitations. So excited to get started on that. Joni and Mike are actually creating a "Craft Room" at their house so that we can do all the fun stuff for the wedding and not have to always clean up!

Love that idea! Thanks Mom and Dad!

After hitting "The Zone"...nope, not AutoZone...but we were in the wedding zone, we headed to Seattle to finalize the bridesmaids' dresses and met up with Heather. Great fun! Jenn and Heather got fitted for their dresses and Kelby will go next week. So nice to have another item off the list. We should get the dresses by early May, so it will be perfect for some last minute alterations.

Not the dress...but one that I originally liked. What fun would it be if I told you what the girls were actually wearing??? You all just must come to the wedding in July and see for yourself!

Next up, finalizing the minister and starting our pre-marital counseling. Fun times!!! Tomorrow marks 6 months until the BIG Day!
Get your dancing shoes dusted off...it will be here before we know it!

Ha-ha-ha-happy B-b-b-birthday to You!

Tomorrow is my mom's birthday...and we celebrated with the family today. To say that the day was rough would be an understatement ... Broken dishwasher....running late...dropping salsa. It went from bad to worse. It was one of those...whatever can happen...well, it did!

Here's Rich working away in the kitchen..
The guests have arrived and are hanging out in the front room...
Jenn, Danny, Aunt Roxy, Dad, Mom and Grandma...
Rich still busy in the kitchen!

The troops were fed and now it's time for CAKE!
Make a wish!

Present time!

Fancy vest!
Thanks to US!
Look at the smile...she loves it!

Danny why are you hiding your nose from us?
Guess you had to be there?!?!?

The aftermath...
remember, NO DISHWASHER...
I better get to work!

All in all, it was a BUSY day! Now it's time to relax and get ready for the week!
Off to have Slumber Party!

Cabela-Land

Today we got up with the sun (or 8am) and headed to Cabela's for a fun trip and adventure. I was surprised to see that we didn't have to pay to park in this "Adventure-Park" they call a store. There are aquariums, wild animals and more fishing and hunting gear than you could look at in 2 days...plus there is food!!! Basically, Rich's heaven.

Rich headed in...

Can you spot Rich...
amongst the wild animals?
We had fun...but now it's time to celebrate my mom's birthday! Tomorrow's the big day....

Maximum...the wonder Dawg!

My parents Little Man!
Their Buddy!
The Wonder Dawg!

Max had a rough 2008 and even rougher 2009...so Rich and I got to babysit last night while my parents were at dinner. I know...pretty fun right...a dog that needs a babysitter...but he is super sick. Good days and bad days...but he sure is a happy puppy!

We love you Max!
Just kickin' it on the couch...poser style!

Chasing his tail and showing off...and barking at the camera!

Playing with his Squeek toy!

Excited that Dad is here to pick him up!

It was fun to have him around...and realize how great it is to have an animal in this big house! Of course, we are waiting for animals until after the wedding.....

Over the pass....

and through the snow...
to Pullman we go for a game!
The Focus knows the way...

ok, you get the picture!

Rich and I headed to Pullman EARLY Saturday morning
(after checking the Pass requirements)
to go to the UW vs. WSU Basketball Game.

Tickets - Check!
Pass Report - Clear!
Husky Gear - wearing!
Cougar Gear - wearing!
Two excited fans - DONE!

We get about 45 minutes into our trip and find
out that we have to chain up for a 10 MILE (yes, 10 mile) stretch of I-90.

Check out the road conditions...
pretty bad, huh?

Rich...just a "little irritated" that we have to chain up...

Well, we made it to Pullman with about 1 hour to spare until tip-off.
Met up with some friends...
had a few cocktails...
and headed to the game.

YES, Husky Victory...first time in 7 games!

After the game, we headed to dinner with Shauna and Andy...
then Rico's....again, Aerial view provided by Direct "Rich" TV.

Shauna and I catching up on some reading...

Ok, now we are just posing.

After Rico's, we headed to My Office...
for "Buckets" of beer and Trivia!

Shauna and Andy!

Rich and I...
dominating the TRIVIA game!

We headed out early Sunday morning...and
the conditions were actually worse between Pullman
and Kennewick...foggy and icy!

Yikes...it's bad out!

We stopped in Kennewick to see Denise and Shawn at our fav, Taco John's...and then back to the road. The day of travel was long and we are exhausted. Looks like we might be hanging around Bothell for awhile. We are both SICK of the car!
