Wedding Bands...

Today...Rich and I took a trip to Alexandria Rossof in Seattle and found our wedding bands!!! This is the Antique Jeweler where he bought my engagement ring over 1 year ago!!! Alexandria was there to help us find the PERFECT RINGS for us. Same as all the other planning aspects of this wedding, this one was simple too!

We were there and found both our rings within 15 minutes!!

We guess that when it's meant to be...it works out!

The only sad part is, I don't have my engagement ring for 2 weeks while the band get matched and diamonds get added!

Yeah!
Another item off the list!

Tomorrow, my mom and I will be finalizing the invites and taking a look at programs...while Rich goes and buys a new hot water heater! The fun of planning a wedding and being 1st time homeowners all packed into 1 weekend!

Dawgs on Top!!!

A night of firsts....
The DAWGS remain #1 in the Pac-10 after defeating ASU!
Kelby attended her 1st College Basketball game and was able to witness: 2 left/rights (i.e. foul outs), and overtime, a great game and a HUSKY victory.

What a night...we started out night at Dicks....because that's where the "cool kids" hang out and then headed over to Hec-Ed.

Always a great time when I'm with Kelby! From the "mooing" audience to body parts being flung at her head! Hey, did you see "the BIG guy"?

Haha!

Dicks...in all it's GLORY!

Game time...it's like Hot Yoga up there!!!

The 1st...

Tonight, I got home from the gym to find a box from Macy's....I brought it upstairs and asked Rich what he ordered. We looked at the box and it was addressed to me....

hmmmmmmmmmmm.....we thought for a minute! I haven't ordered ANYTHING...I promise....I don't know what it could be.

So, without further adieu, we opened it and it was our 1st Wedding Gift from the registry! How exciting! Thanks to my Aunt Roxy and Grandma.

We love you guys!!!

Crazy thing is...I tried to look at the registry today and it was gone. Who knows...it's Macy's!

Wedding! WEDDING! Wedding!

Wow!!! What a successful wedding weekend. My mom, sister and I rallied on Sunday morning for a few hours and knocked out so many things...
  • Bachelorette party date
  • Shower dates and themes
  • Favor boxes
  • Aisle decorations
  • and so many more!
I even got to try on my wedding dress. I had a minor moment of panic when it all felt "too real" and had goose bumps and everything. I can't even believe how lucky I am and how excited I am to marry Rich!

We have our first Marriage counseling on Tuesday with my minister that I grew up with. So very excited that he will be the one that marries us.

Also, GOOD NEWS ALERT...GOOD NEWS ALERT!

We found out on Saturday that Rich's Aunt Kim, Aunt Tammy,Cousin Alex and Cousin Julia will be coming out from Cleveland for our wedding. It is so special that they will get to spend that very special time with us!!

SIP and Scan....

Tonight, Rich and I are heading to Macy's after work for a "Sip and Scan" event. It appears to be like the event we did at Crate and Barrel where there are specialized helpers to assist in your registry.

We need all the help we can get. Tonight it looks like we are going to look at Pots and Pans, Knifes, Appliances and maybe some linens. Nothing crazy...just the necessities.

It is officially 5 months until the WEDDING DAY! Yippee! Then I officially will get to call the man I love, my HUSBAND.

I can't wait!

1st Hike of 2009!

With Rich's BIG hike in September of this year...we decided that we better start getting out there and seeing what he is made of. Of course, I need to work out too...so it's great for both of us. Rich read about "Great Winter Hikes" in the Seattle Times...so we took them up on one and headed out Sunday Monday!

The Coal Creek Park Hikes...
we probably should have studied the map a little more!
Here's Rich just getting started on the Hike!

Some mushrooms we spotted along the way...

Rich approaching Coal Creek Falls.

He made it up there...it was pretty slick.

We continued on and ran into a little snow...

Then he caught me in action...

Which way to go?!?!

We tried "Old Man Trail"...but all we saw was an old man.

Rich's sense of direction got us safely back to our car. We hiked about 5 miles in a little under 2 hours. It definitely wasn't too strenuous...but it was a great Hike to start out our season with.

Flower Power!!!

A-MA-ZING!!!!

Rich and I had an ABSOLUTELY AMAZING VALENTINE'S DAY DINNER!!! The day started off a little slow...morning coffee, trip to Costco, trip to Fred Meyer, and some College Hoops...but then we switched it into high gear and got ready for dinner...

My amazing shoes...love them!
Self-portrait before we left...

At the restaurant....
The Capital Grille in Seattle!

Posing with some wine...
The Wine maker bottles at the winery that my company owns.
Yummy!

Rich's dinner...

Overall, WE GORGED! Just to make you a little jealous, I'll run down what we stuffed into our bodies last night....

  • Prosciutto wrapped mozzarella with vine ripened tomatoes
  • Cup of lobster bisque
  • Wedge salad with blue cheese and bacon
  • Filet Oscar with Crab
  • Porcini rubbed Delmonico with 12 year aged balsamic
WOW!!!! It was AMAZING!!!!

We debated stopping on the way home for a "night-cap" but my belly was way too full!

Thanks Rich for a great V-Day....today is our 3 year anniversary! What a great weekend!!!

Just some cool pictures Rich took on the way home!

Wall...Art...Leaf Thing...

We did it...we FINALLY found something to go over our fireplace. It has taken us months to figure out what we wanted and finally on Sunday morning...we FOUND IT! Watch Rich in action!

Step 1 - He taped off the square to paint the "background" for the art.

Step 2 - He dressed in his painting best and started away.
(Of course, after he went to Lowe's to get our "Crimson" paint)

Step 3 - Wah la...let the paint dry!

Step 4 - Take the tape off and touch up necessary spots.

Step 5 - Hang wall art!

Step 6 - Sit back and enjoy!

Wow! We are so excited that we waited and found the PERFECT..wall...art...leaf...thing! If we could only figure out what to call it!

Checked off the List!

Another successful week has come and gone! It seems like each week that we get closer to the wedding...more and more things get "ticked" off the list.

This week, we made decisions on so many things, from favor boxes to centerpieces, to starting our registry! We even got our rehearsal dinner booked and a "tentative" date for the family bridal shower. It was a good week!

We were also blessed to spend time with so many friends this weekend. I had a girls' night with Heather and Amanda...and Rich had a boys' night with Aaron, Dan, Alex and Dave on Saturday night. I got home in time to see the boys' in all their glory...of course, I missed the late night hours...but was reassured that everything was cleaned up!

Rich and I went to a special "couples registry event" held at Crate and Barrel this morning. We have taken care of A LOT of items...and plan to hit up Macy's for some of the others. We even made a purchase of our own and believe that we FINALLY have a wall hanging for above the fireplace. We got it home and realized there was a huge dent in it...so Rich is on his way to go exchange it and then bring it home. So much fun!

We also went to brunch with Matt and Jessi...so much fun to see them and to get to show them the house!

Men at Work!

IT'S OFFICIAL!

The deck/patio design has begun!

Friday, the Stump grinder came and took out our 3 HUGE stumps in the back yard!

Woo hoo! They are gone!

Look at that mess!

Rich hard at work...trying to figure out the plan.

Andy helping lay the plans...

The aerial view...
Rich and Andy deep in thought!

The goal is to have the patio/deck/outside living area completed by spring so that we can enjoy it with friends and family. Stay posted to see how it goes!
