Thanks-Vacation!

What a WEEK! Thanks-Vacation! Rich headed over the mountains on Wednesday afternoon...and I headed to my parents for fun times with MOM and DAD! Woo hoo! We ate until our hearts were full...laughed and shared many good times!

On Thanksgiving, Lori, Fereti, Rene and Avea came over...and even sang us a cute song that they learned in school!

Can't believe how big they are getting!
Grandma and Aunt Roxy came up for dinner and my Aunt brought us all Rudolf socks!
So cute!
The close up shot from Grandma's foot!
We ate...and Max even tried to get the TURKEY...he succeeded in getting some goodies that were dripping!
Friday morning...I lounged with Max and then headed to my house to prepare for Apple Cup...Jello Shots, Pigs in a blanket and even some yard work with my Mom!

Thanks MOM for all your help!

Look at how nice that looks...we should get Wife and Mother-In-Law of the Year!
Hee hee!
Next up was getting some stuff to make "No-Name" Meyer a Doggie blanket...and then my parent's 2009 Christmas Tree!
Yes, We stuffed it in the Eos!
Finally, home FRIDAY night for dinner, movie and Chambourd Lemondrops!
So much fun with Mom and Dad!

Welcome to the Family!

What a weekend...full of Painting, Parties, Pizza, and PUPPIES (and even the New Moon Premier)!

Rich started covering up some of our YELLOW walls on Saturday morning...a project that we wanted to start last fall...well, we got a little wrapped up in the new home and the wedding...but we are on it now.

Next up on the schedule....PARTIES!
Avea and Rene's 5th Birthday Party at the Seattle Children's Museum.

Here is Rich on 123 Sesame Street (inside joke for our Trivia friends)!!!
The birthday girl...and her hat!
The birthday boy and his candle!
All smiles from Avea...watching Rene blow out his candle!
So much fun in The Jungle Room!
Even the BIG Kids joined in on the fun!
Rich and I having a little "breather" without the kids!
Sunday morning we made our 3rd attempt for waffles...this time with Jenn and Mark's special Waffle Mix!
The waffles were delicious...however, I am still not a PRO!!!
More painting...we are deciding on the colors for the walls in the "Media" room...right now we are leaning towards this green (darker in person) and a lighter grey! Can't wait to see the final product!
And, finally.....PUPPIES!

Welcome to the family "No-Name" Meyer!
He is a Brittany Spaniel born on October 17th, 2009.
We get to bring him home in 2 weeks!
Can't wait for our little man to be home and make our
family complete (well, until baby time in a FEW years)!!!
Yes, all kisses.
He loves us already!
We put him back in with his brothers and sisters for an afternoon nap.
Can't wait to have you home sweetie!
We love you so much already!
XOXO

The "First's" ...

Rich and I have had many "First's" these past couple weeks...including the longest time since our honeymoon with no posts on the blog. (Sorry, I've been LAZY)!!!!

When I was about to build our FIRST fire (11/3/09) of the fall....I found our FIRST dead bird in our fireplace...since I was the FIRST one home...I disposed of my FIRST dead animal.

When Rich arrived home...he let me know that it was a woodpecker.
Sorry Woody!
The start of our FIRST fire....post Woody!
Next up came our FIRST snow (11/13/09)...just a trace...but it was our FIRST!
And today, we celebrated Kain's FIRST birthday!
Here is the birthday boy about to have his FIRST cake!
He really didn't like how messy his fingers got...haha!
Here is a group shot from some of the Tri-Delta ladies at the party!
Heather, Me, Suz, Kristin and Amanda!
Next up...Kain's FIRST birthday presents!
He had a ball and so did we!
Wow! That was a lot of FIRST's!!!

Flash Forward

What a weekend....we started off Saturday morning with a little TRY at the Waffle #2 Experience...definitely better, but still not perfection! Yep, working hard mixing it up!
Rich working on the turkey bacon...yes, we are a heart-healthy household!
Wah-la!
Better!

Next up...it was the 1st trip to the yard for leaves!
Uh huh!
More leaves....4 yard waste bags and our entire yard waste garbage bin and out yard was LEAF-FREE for about 15 minutes!

Looks like we will be out there again next weekend!

Tell me about it!

(We loooooove the shade in the summer though...so not complaints)!

We also set up our temporary wood storage for the winter...we should only have to reload this every few weeks...and then, I can park in the garage again!
Such a great idea Rich!
The rest of the weekend consisted of: football, relaxation, broken cell phones and dinner with Kelby and Ryan! It was a nice and relaxing weekend...much needed! I think that Rich and I are both recharged now for an AWESOME week!

1st fire of Fall tonight at the Meyer Casa!
