Meet Maggie Mae!

Last Sunday, my parents got to bring home their new daughter....and she is such a looker! Must be good genes in the family...or do we all look like Teen Wolf (inside joke, I guess)!

Here is Chukar's initial meeting of Maggie Mae...

...as you can tell, it was Love at First Lick!
The profile shot...
...and a close-up!

Stay tuned...this was just the first. Her little chocolate furry coat melts all our hearts, including Chuk's! Off for a weekend of fun in Wenatchee to celebrate our 1 YEAR ANNIVERSARY! And you thought it wouldn't last.....LOVE, LOVE!

Wednesday "Wine'd" Down

Yes, yes, and YES! I typically save the BEST for last...but last night while we were at Novelty Hill...Amanda, Heather and I got to pose for a picture with Coach Sark and Tui!
It was awesome...and made me even more excited for FOOTBALL season 2010! Go Dawgs!

Back to the beginning....Kelby, Rich and I got to Novelty Hill last night for a little wine and tapas...we started with a nice ROSE' on the patio!

Perfect way to spend a beautiful SUMMER day (and YES, summer is here)!
The action "posed" shot...well, proof that Richie was there too!
My babe and me!
Kelby and I being goofy..."it's what we do"!
PRICELESS...Stripes SUNNING himself!
Heather and I...
And, the Girls!
Amanda, Heather, Kelby and I!
Such a FUN! Fun! NIGHT!

More sunshine today!

June showers are gone and July sunshine is here!

It's amazing...the weather has changed...the attitudes have changed....and we have had an AWESOME first 7 days of July!

July 1st brought a new dark and sultry look to Stacie's hair, a high and tight cut for Rich, and my maiden trip to Wingdome in Greenwood. We spent the evening with Brandon & Courtney, and Kelby the 5th wheel (as Ryan was at softball). Good times...3 words "Bag of ...." I will just refer to that as "Bag of Meat"...hahah!

July 2nd was full of work and relaxation...in preparation for our long weekend away!

July 3rd - 5th was spent with our 4th of July Family (Alex & Co.) for a little food (understatement of the year), drinks (2nd understatement of the year) and LOTS of fun and fireworks! Chukar was able to roam the apple orchards, play in the canal, meet a few other bird dogs (and even another Brittany). Such a great time!

July 6th was back to business and training for me all day...then a few hours in the office to get caught back up. Of course, we are never all work and no play in this house, so we headed to Taco Tuesday in Ballard with Heather and Adam. Can't beat $0.50 tacos and $3 Pacificos, and the GREAT company!

Today, well, well, well...today has been a roller-coaster of emotions. More class! More sunshine! And my parents reaching their destination on their road trip...Jenn's! Still trying to digest how that went/is going, but I do know that healing takes times and they are all working on it. For me, I'm still figuring out how things are going to be...and how they will ever feel "normal" again? Is it possible? How do we heal? How long will it take? What is the next step? How can people take sides on something so personal? Are people allowed to have opinions when they don't know the whole truth? Why do I still feel like the victim? Whose choice is it? Amazing the amount of emotions that can just flood through you at a time like this. I'm so blessed to have such an AMAZING husband who knows when I need a hug and knows when I need to be alone to digest everything. His support has carried me today...and faith in us is amazing everyday!

I'm excited for my parents to be back home on Sunday and get to celebrate them bringing Maggie Mae home...and Chukar getting to meet her! LOVE it!

Tonight...Kelby is heading over and we are meeting up with Heather, Adam and Amanda at Novelty Hill for some boccie ball and wine (it's the Wednesday Wine-Down, of course).

We have a few more weeks until we head to Cali to visit Rich's sister and family...and need to get some time with Rich's parents on the calendar ASAP. So grateful for family...and getting to make the most of the one's who love us unconditionally....it truly is amazing that we both have parents that continue to show their love for us.

The rest of the month continues to bring the best...our 1st anniversary is just the tip of the iceberg!

Summer is finally here...

To Cross-fit or not...

that is the real question...or maybe it is..."Will we survive"?!?!?

I've been trying to figure out a way to get motivated again to work out...post triathlon of 2009 and pre-REAL summer weather of 2010. I'm even toying with the idea of the Danskin in August, but first I must commit to working out again (and eliminating TDM from my lunch ritual)...this is where CrossFit comes in. A friend told Rich and I about this last weekend and I actually think I might have Rich on board....giddy up!

We will shoot to try tomorrow or Thursday, just waiting to hear back from the trainers. Hold on...this is going to be a bumpy ride!

On a side note...my mom is off visiting her new baby today...

Meet Maggie Mae, born May 17, 2010!

Stay tuned for the adventures of Rich and Stacie...and Chukar and Maggie!

The last weekend of Spring...

and it held more rain than rainbows...but I'm glad that Summer is upon us and we are ready for the adventures to come.
  • Trip to California
  • Camping
  • 1st Anniversary
  • The 4th with Friends
  • and more SUNSHINE!
This weekend was full of friends, fun, rain and little scare...but we all made it through and kept on trucking.

Friday night we got to spend an awesome night with Amy and Eric and enjoy some wine and a delicious dinner. So nice to have a "couples" date night and have some REAL conversations about life, marriage, babies and more. We always cherish our special time with the Curtiss family.

Saturday morning started with a little scare and a trip to the ER with my Mom and Dad. She is feeling better now, but we were all very scared for her. Please keep her in your prayers!

We continued on and enjoyed our lazy rainy weekend and then headed to Bellevue Saturday night to meet up with Jenn and Alex to surprise him for his birthday. Again, another awesome night with friends and a funny movie! (If you haven't seen "Get Him to the Greek"...stop reading this now and go...FURRY WALLS)!

Sunday ...oh Sunday. Rich, Chukar and I participated in the very WET Furry 5K...but we all made it and had a blast. Our little man was exhausted...so we let him nap and went up to meet my parents for Lunch.

We pretty much chilled the remainder of the weekend and finally had a chance for a little downtime on Sunday night. Seems like the weeks keep getting busier, but we are excited to see what SUMMER holds!
