A hammer, a few nails, and Wah-la!

We did it! We finally bought our first piece of art for the house...guess what, it already feels more like home. We now have nails in the walls and have "marked our territory". It feels great!

Check us out in action!

Rich...measure twice, nail once!

Getting to straighten it all out!

Yeah, Masterpiece complete!

The finished product!

We are so happy with our "first" personalize touch to the house. Next up...front room!

Leaf us alone!

Dear Mr. and Mrs. Maple Tree and Family,

We have recently discovered that your beautiful leaves that keep us cool in the summer and our yard with privacy have begun to fall off. We would appreciate if you can keep your leaves on your trunks and branches where they belong and not in our yard. The work that this has caused us seems unnecessary. We hope that you understand our concern.

All our Best,

Stacie and Rich

As you probably already know...our yard is SURROUNDED by beautiful maple trees. We absolutely love them...but this weekend was spent cleaning up the yard and doing round 1 of raking. As I sit here and type right now, only hours after our raking mission was complete...there are already dozens of new leaves in our yard. Yikes...what did we sign up for here?!?

Yep, I'm squishing them down...

Rich in the midst of the madness.

Scoop them up babe!
The work is done for this weekend...but we know there is more fun to come!

Although Sunday was spent "Winterizing" our yard...the rest of our weekend was fun! Rich's friend Bryan from Reno was in town all weekend and we spent time with him and his huge family. Friday Night was Paddy Coynes...fun spot. Saturday we met up and did some pre-game tailgating and went and watched the football game. (Thank God the Seahawks and Browns both won this weekend...because college football doesn't look so good)!!!

After the game on Saturday, we headed to meet up with Heather and Adam at The Ravenna Alehouse...fabulous dive bar in the midst of the U-district. We had a blast and even got to hear a few crazy stories from Adam. Have you heard this on....Two peanuts are walking down the street...one is "a salted". Ok, you laughed right? Well, neither did we!

Happy Sunday and here's to a great week!

Do the Palouse!

Woo hoo! 48 fun-filled hours packed with family, friends, food, football, four-wheeling and fun!!! We headed out after work on Friday to start our weekend in the Palouse...stopping a few times along the way.

Just hitting the road...Rich is amped up to drive!

Dinner stop in Yakima...
mmmmm, Miner's burgers!
We continued our trip Friday night...ending up in Kennewick to visit Rich's mom at work...and then back to the house to visit with both his dad and mom! We were exhausted from the trip and headed to bed early...

Saturday morning we got up before dawn and met Rich's mom at breakfast and filled our bellies before we ended up in Pullman for the football game. We arrived early...so we got to tour the campus, the new CUB and a view above the stadium.

Here's the view from our vantage point!
After our tour of campus, we met up with Nancy to do a little pre-game tailgating and get ready for the football game!

We were quick on the trigger and got a picture
of the new "Cougar-tron"...

After the game, we hung out in Pullman a little longer...had a snack and some cocktails and then headed up to Rosalia to meet up with Allen (Rich's 1st roommate from WSU) and Emmy for dinner. Allen and his family graciously hosted Rich and I for the night and we just hung out and visited.

Rich and Allen got up EARLY Sunday morning to go hunting...they saw a few pheasants and more ducks...but were not successful. Rich even got to help out Allen with his tractor. I swear, after a weekend like this, I wasn't sure Rich would want to come home to the westside.

Rich and Allen got back...and by this time I was up! Allen made us a delicious breakfast and there was even some "different" meats in the sausage...it was good.

Here's Reed and Angelina...
coming home from church.
(Allen and Emmy's little ones)!

Here's Allen with Reed...what a proud papa!

Rich being goofy...waiting for breakfast!
After breakfast, we headed outside and Allen showed Rich how to work the four-wheelers!

Here are the boys in all their glory!

Ride on Richie!

Yeah, I got to go for a ride with Rich too!
We took the four-wheeler out for about an hour and saw 3 pheasants and about 6 ducks! Rich got a duck...but the pheasants got away! I was "blown" away by how loud the shotgun was!

Here's Rich scouting for the pheasant.

Ready, aim, fire!
We headed home...on our 5 hour journey and ended up at my Grandma's 82nd birthday celebration. It was a fun, but exhausting weekend!

What's next on tap?!?!

29...going on 13!

SLUMBER PARTY!!! Yes, you heard me right. Saturday night was Girls' Night at my house. Rich was off doing manly things - hunting and fishing...and I was home doing girly things...Drinking wine, eating junk food, gossiping, playing with each other's hair...and more. Yes, you would think that the house was full of 13 year olds...but no, it was exclusive...you had to be 25 to enter!

We had a blast...well, I did for sure! I still have a tummy ache today
to prove I ate WAY to much junk food.

Kelby with 2 of my favs - Wine and Pizza Rolls....
Well, she's on of my favs too!

Next up - Cinnamon rolls!

Oh no...Jenn is going to be sick in the pumpkin.
Watch out!

Oh yeah, everyone was required to be in PJ's!
Shauna, Amanda and I...just hanging out!
Oh, and late night...
Wedding hair with Toilet Paper.
We're Classy!
Thanks to Jenn, Kelby, Amanda, Shauna and Jessie for making the night a blast!!! I love you all!

Happy Halloween!
